Pouvoir écrire sur les disques NTFS sur le Mac

Vous pouvez désormais avoir la capacité d’écrire sur / modifier les volumes NTFS dans Mac OS X grace à MacFUSE de Google Code et NTFS-3G de Erik Larsson. MacFUSE vous permet d’élargir les capacités actuels de gestion des fichiers de Mac OS X par l’intermédiaire des systèmes de fichiers «3rd-party». Comme un utilisateur normal, l’installation du progiciel de MacFUSE vous laissera utiliser n’importe quel système de fichiers 3rd-party écrit sur MacFUSE, tel que NTFS-3G d’Erik Larsson qui permet de lire non seulement des volumes de NTFS, mais aussi les écrire et modifier sur Mac OS X. Afin d’avoir la fonctionnalité MacFUSE et NTFS-3G doit respectivement être installé sur votre Mac (et que le système soit redémarré après chaque installation respective). Vous pouvez télécharger MacFUSE à partir de l’adresse suivante : http://code.google.com/p/macfuse/ ou bien la séction cross-platform utilities de OzarWEB downloads.
Après l’installation de MacFUSE et le ré-démarrage de votre micro, vous aurez besoin de télécharger puis installer NTFS 3G for the Mac de Erik’s NTFS-3G for the Mac Blog. Et puis, n’oubliez pas de rédémarrer une fois de plus votre ordinateur afin de ne pas rencontrer des problème surpris après… En date de cette écriture les versions les plus recentes de ces produits étaient MacFUSE version 2.0.2 et NTFS-3G version 1.5130. Ces deux outils en ces versions sont également disponible depuis OzarWEB Downloads comme un serveur mirroir.
Problèmes connus après cette installation :
- Votre partition de bootcamp (si NTFS) n’apparaîtra plus sur les préférences système > démarrage Solutions proposées:
- Taper la touche “alt” (option) pendant le «reboot» du Mac et puis séléctionner la partition «Bootcamp» pour démarrage.
- Pour les Macs Intel: Installer rEFIt boot manager pour mieux gérer les disques de démarrage.
- Utiliser l’outil bless sur Terminal (Là taper “man bless” pour plus d’information)
- Les fichiers crées sous Windows avec les noms contenants des caractères speciaux avec des accents, trémas, points, etc. peuvent devenir illisible dans le Finder. Car Finder exige apparemment que tous les noms de fichier apparaissent sous la forme Unicode décomposée , alors que NTFS laisse des noms de fichier composés et décomposés. Il est difficile de résoudre ce problème d’un façon jolie, mais vous devriez encore pouvoir accéder à ces fichiers à l’aide du terminal. La copie des fichiers affectés à un lecteur de HFS utilisant la commande « cp » fonctionne très bien.
Désinstallation NTFS 3G pour Mac
Puisqu’Apple n’a pas fourni une manière simple de retirer les modules installés, il y a un “shell script” qui désinstalle tous les fichiers de NTFS-3G du système. Il est situé sur l’image de disque que vous avez téléchargé pour installer NTFS-3G, et s’appelle « Uninstall NTFS-3G.command », et un utilisateur devrait seulement devoir le double-cliquer pour lancer la séquence type (shell script). Il faut être un administrateur avec des droites de sudo, et il est nécessaire de taper son mot de passe afin d’autoriser la séquence type pour retirer NTFS-3G à partir des répertoires système.
Désinstallation de MacFUSE
Lancer le script uninstall-macfuse-core.sh script qui se trouve sous le repértoire Support du paquet système de fichiers MacFUSE. Le paquet lui-même se trouve sous /System/Library/Filesystems/ sur Mac OS X 10.4.x (Tiger) et sous /Library/Filesystems/ sur Mac OS X 10.5.x (Leopard). Par exemple, pour désinstaller MacFUSE sur Mac OS X 10.4.x, vous exécuteriez la commande suivante dans le terminal :
sudo /System/Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs/Support/uninstall-macfuse-core.sh
Pour désinstaller MacFUSE sur Mac OS X 10.5.x et en haut, vous exécuteriez :
sudo /Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs/Support/uninstall-macfuse-core.sh
Si le paquet de système de fichiers dans votre installation de MacFUSE n’a pas un sous-répertoire nommé “Support”, cela signifie que vous avez une version incroyablement antique de MacFUSE. Dans ce cas, recherchez la séquence de désinstallation dans le repértoire fusefs.fs/ lui-même.

Hi, I heard of a commercial product which manages better the boot process and doesn’t cause the bootcamp partition to disappear after installing NTFS-3G.
It’s Paragon NTFS for Mac.

They have a 10-day free trial edition. Full version comes with MacBrowser which is some sort of a replacement for MacDrive.
The best thing is your BOOTCAMP partition will continue showing up on the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences.
With NTFS 3G, it disappears! and the only way to boot from the Bootcamp/Windows partitionin that case is that you would have to press the alt (option) key while rebooting the Mac.
Does that mean that when I get Paragon NTFS, part of the software is actually installed on Windows on the Bootcamp partition which enables read/write the Mac (HFS+) disk?
The answer to your question should have been ‘yes’ under normal circumstances. However, in my tests with the Paragon NTFS 7.0, installing Paragon’s “MacBrowser” software (bundled with the P. NTFS package) on Bootcamp partition messed up the Mac file system and did not work as expected – i.e. the Mac (HFS+) volume appeared blank (empty) in an attempt to browse it from Windows (I was using XP during the tests) and later I suspected that it could twist the file permissions if not corrupt the entire Mac partition. So I uninstalled and switched back to MacFUSE & NTFS 3G.

after installing mac fuse and ntfs 3g, I can no longer succeed booting from the ntfs partition.

please refer to the section “Known issues after this installation” where a couple of workarounds are also suggested.
The bootcamp partition disappears from the startup disk control panel after installing MacFUSE + NTFS 3G – but was also the case with a recent version of Paragon NTFS as well. Paragon offers the Windows partition booting option on its own control panel which shows at the bottom of System Prefs though.
Why on Earth, Apple doesn’t make NTFS read/write a built-in option on the Mac OSX ?
Using “NTFS For Mac”, and it does not enable OS X’s Startup Disk pane to see the Windows partition. From what I understand, the Startup Disk pane is programmed to ignore any partition that isn’t natively mounted by and OS X driver. What we need is a hack for Startup Disk pane to get it to ignore the fact that a partition is not mounted by the OS X driver.
Hey isntalled ntfs 3G and mac fuse now i dont see my external drive any more and my .dmg wont mount also with my external because i deleted sum mountable files accidentally when i was trying to uninstall NTFS 3G…PLESE HELP!!!! NOW i cant access my external any more HELP!!!
intsalling NTFS 3G has nothing to do with an external drive disappearing. The only side effect it brings is that the BOOTCAMP partition (if there is any) will now show on the System Preferences > Startup.
You’d have better backed up your stuff using Time Machine, and use Time Machine go back to your last working configuration.
If not applicable, then install a fresh Mac OS X on top of your existing installation (you can do this without having to reformatting the drive) and manage to boot up to your missed file system. You may need to reinstall some of your apps afterwards and collect manually some of your previous user settings to apply to the new config. That being said, you won’t lose any of your existing documents, pics, music or videos – even many of your apps installed prior to the re-installation of the system without formatting will exist and function normally.
CAN I SOME ONE JUST EMAIL THE filesytem default folder….WOULD THAT WORK AT LEAST TO MOUNT BACK MY DRIVES AND .DMG WHEN I DOWNLOAD THEM??? SOMEONE PLZ HELP URGENT I AM A DJ AND THIS IS REAL BAD 4 ME HELP!!!!
AND IM USING MAC OSX TIGER 10.4 I NEED THE FILESYSTEM DEFAULT FOLDER AGAIN PLEASE!!!
